Cesc Fabregas has shared the opinion of ex-Chelsea midfielder Deco on current Blues boss Thomas Tuchel and his impact at Stamford Bridge since replacing club legend Frank Lampard. Deco told media portal 101 that Tuchel has done a very good job with a new players and lots of young players.
Former Portuguese international Deco previously played for Chelsea and he was delighted that the Blues reached the Champions League final at the end of last season thanks to the impact made by German tactician Tuchel. According to him, Lampard was doing a good job before he was replaced by Tuchel and the former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Borussia Dortmund manager ended up doing more than expected for the Blues during the second half of the season.
Another Ex-Chelsea midfielder in Cesc Fabregas told Goal thatTuchel has taken the Blues to the next level since his appointment. Cesc Fabregas also gave credit to his predecessor, Frank Lampard. Fabregas praised Lampard for the way he was able to introduce great players like Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Reece James, Billy Gilmour and others into the first team squad.
Cesc Fabregas also mentioned how Lampard didn't have any choice but to introduce the aforementioned young players from the Chelsea Academy after the club was slapped with a transfer ban at the start of his tenure.
Chelsea reached two major finals in some months of the Thomas Tuchel managerial era at the club. The Blues played Leicester City in the FA Cup final before facing Manchester City in the Champions League final with the two games ending in a 1-0 scoreline.
